Alaska Invasive Species Workshop

Meet the 2023 AKISP Awardees!

Every year, the AKISP membership nominates individuals that have gone above and beyond to keep Alaska wild and free of invasive species. See below to learn about our 2023 AKISP award winners and all that they have done for the invasive species community!

About the Workshop
The Alaska Invasive Species Partnership and the University of Alaska Fairbanks Cooperative Extension Service organizes an invasive species workshop held annually in the late fall.  The workshop rotates between locations in Anchorage, Fairbanks and various rural communities.

The workshop is a forum for discussing invasive species management activities within the state, offers expert presentations about emerging invasive species science and management issues, highlights outreach efforts, and offers training for new and experienced invasive species managers alike.  The workshop typically draws 100 to 150 participants.

The 2023 Invasive Species Workshop theme is: Invaders on the Edge!

Please join us November 7 – 9, 2023!
